year's commencement exercises of Davenport University.
This marks the third year that Davenport has held their
ceremony in Detroit's Ford Field. For many years before
that, it was at Cobo Hall, also in Detroit.
For the past 6 years Lance Luce has been the organist for
the business College's festivities. Lance commented that
last year he was on the 25 yard line, and this year he was
on the 10 yard line. (Not too much longer until he'll be in
the end zone.) The organ is patched into the house sound
system so it can be heard evenly throughout the huge
stadium.
Davenport University combines the Warren, Michigan and
Dearborn, Michigan campuses together, and it makes for
quite a large gathering. There are an impressive number of
Masters, Bachelors, Associates Degrees and Diplomas
awarded at this event annually.
Leave it to Davenport to know how to put on a little "Pomp
and Circumstance" !
