Dr. Julie Jaffee Nagel Gives Performance Anxiety Seminar
Dr. Julie Jaffee Nagel was our featured guest for
"Sunday Afternoons Around the Piano" on March 26, 2006.
Her presentation included information about performance
anxiety, some of the causes, and suggestions about how it
might be eliminated.
Dr. Nagel has her Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Work
from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, as
well as her Bachelor and Masters degrees in piano
performance from the Juilliard School of Music in New
York City.
This combination of backgrounds makes her uniquely
qualified to conduct this type of seminar.
The afternoon session was very well attended. Opening
remarks and introduction were made by Tim Hoy, owner of
Hammell Music.
Martha Gordon, Manager of Hammell Music, hosted the
event and provided a reception where guests could meet
Dr. Nagel.
