The Mack Sisters, Yuki and Tomoko have
most recently been appointed as Steinway
Artists by Steinway & Sons of New York.

Based in Southeastern Michigan, Japanese
born Yuki and Tomoko have dazzled
audiences on three continents, performing
works for one-piano, two-pianos and double
concertos with orchestra.

And Dazzle the capacity crowd at Hammell
Music's Steinway Hall they did!  Their
concert included works by Manuel Infante,
Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Bedrich
Smentana, Astor Piazzolla and Witold
Lutoslawski.

The afternoon performance began with an
introduction by Hammell's director of
Steinway Sales, Alex Hanway.  Alex breifly
touched on what an honor it is to be
appointed a "Steinway Artist" as well as
some of the already extensive background
of these two young pianists.

The concert itself was magnificent.  The
Mack sisters play with feeling and emotion
that brings their music to life.  Their duets
are flawless.  They play with such precision,
it's as it they were connected by some
invisible means.

The overflow audience was very
appreciative of their talents, giving long, well
deserved ovations.  There was a reception
afterwards where the attendees were able to
meet Yuki and Tomoko.  Their appointment
as Steinway artists also means a poster on
the wall of fame in Hammell's Steinway
gallery.  They have three CD's to their credit
with a fourth due to be released soon.

Yuki & Tomoko Mack effortlessly gave us an
amazing musical experience that showed
why Steinway has chosen them to be a part
of their family.

We look forward to their return.
